I've started enjoying life again

Jane has started feeling better after taking more control of her life

Since developing Fibromyalgia, I’ve lost confidence in arranging social activities as I’m worried that I’ll have to cancel or don’t know how I’ll feel.  I’ve lost confidence in doing anything really.

My coach supported me in talking to my family about ways to accommodate my Fibromyalgia – for instance, when going for walks planning shorter walks or finding somewhere I could sit while they carry on walking; or letting them know that I’d love to come but that I may need to say how I feel at the time (without feeling that I’m letting them down).

I’ve also started looking into local craft classes and volunteering at a local community café and have even managed to get away for a few days without feeling apprehensive about it, which felt great.

This has all helped me to build my confidence around managing life with Fibromyalgia and I feel I’m taking things in my stride a lot more now.
